Ride the Waves - A Tutorial

I love soft waves as a hairstyle. It's chic, effortless and totally romantic. Whether you have straight or curly hair, with the right products and tools, you can pull off this look!
What You'll Need:

A Curling Iron
Heat Protectant Spray
Serum
Hairspray
Clips or Ponytail Holders

My Favorite Products-
Hot Tools 1 inch Curling Iron
CHI Iron Guard
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum
John Freida Hair Spray

THE STEPS

Curly to Wavy:

Start with dry hair and part it like you normally would. Apply the heat protectant all over the hair and then using the clips, separate hair into multiple sections. If your hair is extra thick or frizz prone, apply a little bit of serum to each section. Then, using the curling iron, take 1 inch sections of your curls (less or more depending on size of the barrel) and wrap them around the curling iron in an outward motion. After you have finished, apply hairspray all over to set the hair for the rest of the day.

Straight to Wavy:

Similar to the curly instructions, start by applying heat protectant spray to hair and then section off with clips. Feel free to use serum if hair is frizzy or thick. Using the curling iron, take 1 inch sections of your hair (less or more depending on size of the barrel) and wrap them around the curling iron in an outward motion, or another technique is to twist them around the barrel or for a spiral look. After you have finished, apply hairspray all over to set the hair for the rest of the day.My Finished Look-
